Last night at the local fish shack, excellent salmon rillette with house-made potato chips, beautifully presented; ceviche of shrimp, avocado, red onion, pea shoots, spicy and delicious; salad of snap peas, green beans, barley, feta, Champagne vinaigrette; French fries; Mediterranean bass with ramp vichyssoise, intense in colour and flavour.

I love when a good restaurant changes their menu for a new season with lots of new and inspired dishes. I rarely take photos of food, but that salmon rillette just looked like spring, and a lovely sunny afternoon didn’t hurt either.
