IW:

i had to dig back into the notes. short and brief to be sure, but i noted that while the 98 was a significant drop below the 97 (to be expected), it drank remarkably well, you'll recognise the classic Tig nose straight away, and the fruit and tannin were already integrated. i noted especially that i really liked the finish. we splash decanted only. notes from approximately 6 months ago.
Had this last night with a delicious veal scallopine, eggplant and shiitake mushroom dinner. Uncorked about an hour before decanting and pouring. Dark garnet colour with an orange rim. Aromas of cherry and cedar with some floral notes developing after a couple of hours. Medium bodied, very silky mouthfeel with cherry and vanilla flavours and a medium length finish. Very well made wine. 91 pts.
I suggest drinking this over the next couple of years.
