Did a search and didn't see much on this subject.
I've had them here and there and generally liked what I've tried. Spire Mountain and Hornsby's are the two most readily available here.
But yesterday I came across one that I've never seen before, especially in a magnum sized bottle.

I assume this is past it's prime, but at $25 I couldn't pass it by.

Does anyone have any expertise on this or other hard ciders?

Eric Bordolet is an artisanal cider producer in the Loire who farms his apple & pear orchards biodynamically. The ciders are bottled in 750ml bottles like wine.

His product range includes both apple and pear ciders in both dry and off-dry styles. I think they run from between $6 to $11 USD per 750ml bottle. Definitely worth checking out sometime.
I have really liked some that I have rarely stumbled into from the UK and France - dry, crisp and refreshing - a nice alternative. Those euro versions were much better than the more prevalent industrial varieties.

Further, I can vouch for the Eric Bordelet stuff from Normandy. I like the Pear much more than the apple - it's really delicious stuff. Adding to the interest is that the version labled "Granit" comes entirely from one 300 yr. old tree. And it is quite excellent. I'm sure these are of limited availability, but worth a try if you find them.

Yeah, sorry. My folks in Tillamook went on a cross-country RV trip all summer (still gone!) and so I didn't make it down there.

I revisited the store yesterday where I purchased it, and they seem to have found 6 more magnums of '00. Makes me curious where this has been all this time.
