Looking to try a new recipe for salmon with Teriyaki Shiitake. Recipe calls for sake (1/4 cup) for the mushrooms. Other ingredients that are whisked together with the sake are soy sauce, brown sugar and Asian sesame oil. Any suggestions for alternative to sake -- white wine?

Thanks for all the input.

Pape Because my initial thoughts were along the same line as Paul's -- the other ingredients would mask what subtle flavors sake added. Thus, if I could use something else that I have on hand with little or no impact on the taste of the dish, I'd rather do that.
