Because I couldn't belive it last week.

This incredably young ruby red colo(u)r. Highly concentrated. Call it intense! These elegant long, slightly coloured legs...

This intensely spicy, woody nose. With more than hints of dark tobacco and stewed fruit. Leafs, herbs and old leather.

This total equilibrium in the mouth. Depth and with an everlasting aftertaste.

Why isn't there more of such a wine, we wouldn't be needing Médoc and Napa anymore...

NICE note Rik, thanks! I have not had the pleasure of tasting a Quinta do Cotto GE that old (just the '00 and '01), but was blown away by them (especially with the '01). Truely a magnificent wine: one of the better ones made in the Douro. Did you buy this recently?
