rhone warrior, how is the '97 solaia tasting? Does it need some more time? I only have 1 bottle left in the cellar and don't want to drink it before its time.

It's a great wine but is awfully tight right now. The nose was explosive and reminded me a lot of an oatmeal cookie with lots of vanilla, blueberry, and nutmeg/cinnamon. Tasting it showed how much time it needs as it wasn't giving up much fruit but had lots of stuffing. I've got one bottle left which I'll tentatively plan on drinking in 10 years or so (though I'm sure I won't hold out).
