I was supposed to be meeting for dinner and wine tonight in Chicago with jcubed, w+a and wine sparty tonight before the country closed down. Since I had already planned for just a half day of work, I used the time to make pot roast. My place smells awesome and it will be a nice weeknight dinner on a dreary, rainy day.
We had a roasted chicken last night - delicious - one benefit of this staying home thing is the dramatically healthier eating of food cooked at home

We made Tom Tum out of chicken soup we had made previously frozen and what was left if iur roasted chicken from the other night

Had Grecian baked lamb, quinoa salad, roasted brussels sprouts. Enjoyed a 2005 Silver Oak Cabernet, and for dessert, a 2003 Mondavi Moscato D'Oro (half bottle).
Made yellow corn tortillas, carnitas and grilled some flank steak for tacos today. Cold but it’s at least sunny in TO today.

For us, pork tenderloin, oven roasted potatoes and asparagus. I make similar things so often, the iPad damn near types this out for me.
Smoked a pork butt, yumm. I bought a turkey quite a while ago and may have to smoke that too in the near future.

i've been trying to get homemade gnocchi right since '98 and never got it. A few pointers form mangiare and we're in cloud-filled pillow heaven.

My wife and I took an hourlong drive shortly after noon to get out of the house for a bit, then spent the afternoon together in the kitchen. My wife made two loaves of zucchini bread that smell fantastic. I made a red meat sauce that was nicely reduced down and ended up delicious. Served over penne with fresh grated aged parm and a drizzle ove good olive oil as a finisher. Simple, hearty and delicious. Looking forward to the leftovers for lunch while working from home.

Seems like we have been eating nothing but tacos the last little while. Carnitas, chicken, flat iron steak, with some homemade salsas. Not tiring of them yet.

Damn, I ordered 4 lbs of ground lamb, fresh and frozen salmon and calf liver. I hope I don't end up with tilapia, bison and chicken liver.

Not to rub it in but they were delicious.

I have made rice using chicken stock, chopped onion and a bay leaf and it is a very nice flavor. Got the idea from a friend.
Chorizo (ground pork with chorizo spices, not authentic) melted cheese and lettuce tacos.
Scallops and cod fried in butter.
I found my stash of dried ghost chilis.
It was a terrible idea, I'm sweating, I can't taste or smell anything, I have blurry vision and i haven't stopped coughing for 10 minutes straight.
