Normally I wouldn't post this one, but if anyone's looking for a cellar defender, you could do worse. At $5.99, it's fighting way above its weight class.
Classic California varietal, with red cherry, cola, and a bit of forest floor. 14.36% alcohol, but didn't taste like it. Light mouthfeel, though if it were more concentrated, it could pass for some of the CA big boys. Was certainly decent with a vegetable carbonara I had prepared.
Would I buy a case of the stuff? No, but it beat opening one of my $70 bottlings for a small, snowbound dinner. 87 pts.
