Real nice cherry flavor, mineral, herb, flower, spice and a little medicinal and gamey. Pretty mellow and feels like it is aging quickly. I want to try the 2018 to see what it is like young but I suspect frappato is best in the Cerasuola di Vittoria blend.

I really enjoy these. Especially with pizza.  The ones i did age 3-4 years fell apart.  The CdV is still going strong.

I’m really enjoying the Val d’acata frappato.  Available at the LCBO.

For COS, the cerasuolo is definitely the  way to go.

Thanks for the info, fellas. I agree the COS Cerasuolo is fantastic. I also want to try Pithos, Rami and the merlot/cab.

Just to be clear, this is Frappato so don’t expect anything life changing.  It is bright and fresh with cranberry, strawberry, and red cherry notes along with just enough acidity and minerality to back it up.
