This was my first bottle of a 2015 Brunello and I chose it to try because it is usually more approachable when young than many. It was that, but will benefit from some bottle age as the last glass was definitely the best and just singing. Beautiful floral nose with cherry and spice flavours. Long juicy finish. More structured and fuller bodied than it is in most vintages. If you like this wine, you will love the 2015. Easy 93 points for me and at CDN$47 (US$33) it's a good deal.
Holy crap - I had no idea the exchange rate got that out of whack.
It's $60CAD here.
Time to start shopping on the SAQ website again.
You're going to need to rent a van if you do much more shopping at the SAQ.
I did notice that $60 price on the LCBO Brunello release sheet last week. The Caprili was another one with a big(ger) difference.
I'll just bring a U-Haul next time I come to town. Yes, a huge difference on the Caprili also - even though I did buy some here. I didn't even think to check the SAQ and anything online is gone away.
I'm going to owe a lot in rent for the cellar space I'm taking up at yours.
