2nd time tasting. Consistent but even better than first time.
Nose is a bit muted with fresh green herbs (basil and tarragon come to mind) as well as black cherry and hints of citrus rind and cough syrup. The palate is even better than the palate with somewhat intense black cherry flavors surrounded by gravel and a subtle underlying herbaceousness. The tannins are fully soft and the finish is very long. The overall impression is of a CA wine fully in the Burgundian camp... with slight suggestions of Piedmont. I really like this. 92.
