1st of 3 bottles of the 2011 I own. I also have 5 of the 2014. Sadly my ‘10’s are all gone. It’s been open for about an hour and a half as I’m typing this. Very dark and inky, almost purple. Aromas of violets, smoked meat, mixed berries and campfire smoke. Full-bodied. Good acidity, and a little tannic grip suggesting these aren’t at peak yet. Still delicious as hell though with some air. Crushed red fruit, baking spice and pepper are the dominant flavors. Long finish. Clean and ripe, with no funk or barnyard. It may be a little hot for those who like their southern Rhône reds on the austere side. Excellent for my palate and better in a couple of years.
