2009 Chéreau-Carré Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Le Clos du Chateau l'Oiseliniere - France, Loire Valley, Pays Nantais, Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine (3/7/2018)
-- popped and poured --
-- tasted non-blind over a couple hours --
NOSE: fragrant Nose is dominated by mineral tones, light tropical fruit (papaya), and green grapes; hint of diesel suggests this has some age on it.
BODY: green-yellow color of medium depth; light to medium-light body.
TASTE: very zippy/zesty; high acid; strong mineral; light fruit; strong umami/saline aspect; 12.5% alc. not noticeable; this is an excellent Muscadet, and is a great example of how some Muscadets can age quite nicely. gut impression score: 90-92.
