2009 Camille Giroud Gevrey-Chambertin Les Crais
Not much coloration, pale ruby. The nose is very fragrant with red berries, sweet spices and earth. Very Pinot to me. On the palate, the Pinot is still pretty evident with classic flavours. Lots of fruits flavours, but still very fine, then some spices, earth, minerality. Not a bold wine, but fits is the Domaine style (as I compare with the Charmes-Chambertin I had earlier this year). Probably few years of sleep will give more depth and complexity. 13,5% of alcohol. Very good.
