Very dark, deep ruby color. Dark fruit nose with a hint of smoke. Big, fresh fruit flavors dominated by blueberry and blackberry. The oakiness when the bottle was first opened is much more subdued after being open and in the glass for 45 minutes or so. Nice back end taste of sweet spice that is familiar with a lot of Washington Merlot. Persistent finish, too. Quite a nice bottle of wine.
