2007 Caymus Special Selection -- Longest cork I’ve ever seen. Could be in a porn video. Concentrated purple color. Nice expressive fruity nose of cassis and vanilla oak. Tangy blackberry fruit with lively acidity, vanilla oak and a bit of licorice. Tannins are a bit grippy compared to the other wines tasted the same night ('97 Grange, '06 La Croix St. Georges, '86 Gruaud Larose, '04 Alban Reva), and the finish was just a bit shorter, but this was a nice wine. Ready now. 91
