Tasted June 17, 2007 at the winery. Garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout with attractive vibrancy in glass. Deep and rich nose of black cherries, black berries and a hint of underlying meatiness. Flavors of red cherries, red berries and red currants. Medium acidity, tannins and body. Drink with at least an hour in the decanter or continue to hold. (92 pts.)

    Medium/dark ruby. Intriguing nose of dark fruit (like black raspberrries and black cherries mixed) and a decided light gamy funk that never got in the way and didn't diminish much over time. More dark fruit and mixed berries, with a touch of spice in the mouth. Medium finish. Nicely balanced with bright acidity. Remarkably open for business when popped and poured. Showing very nicely at the 2 hour mark. (91 pts.)

Was a surprisingly nice pairing with homemade red beans and rice with biscuits.

Opened and served immediately. Could have used some more air time as evidenced by how well this wine tasting the second day. Dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of black berries and cherries that carries through to the palate. Also some light dustiness on the nose. Medium acidity, tannins and body. Drink or hold. Give it some air if opening now. (92 pts.)
