Very nice, entering it's drinking window. Lots of black cherries on the nose with sweet licorice notes and similar replays on the palate. Nice oak and smoke components. Very smooth on the palate and tannins present but integrated. Nice long finish. Should change and improve slightly for the next couple of years and will last longer but it's surprisingly in a good spot now. (93 pts.)

Thanks for the note, Mim. I also had a bottle of this recently and was very happy with its evolution. Having tasted a few vintages of this wine, I've never thought of it as a long ager, rather a wine of really good quality that can be opened while waiting for the big hitters to come around.

Opaque burgundy/black colour. Very pretty nose of kirsch, raspberry coulis, crushed blackcurrants, garrigue, sois bois, black truffle. Full-bodied, great, silky texture with tannins integrating nicely. More crushed blackberries, raspberry, kirsch, blackcurrant, truffle, garrigue. Long finish, ~40-45s. Excellent persistence. In a really, really nice spot right now. How much better can it get? Love it. Drink now-2020. 93 points. (93 pts.)
