Couldn't find a note on this wine. Nice nose of saline, mineral, nuts and green apples. The palate had minerals, citrus undertones and just enough almonds to add a touch of richness. There was a bit of fizz or spritz in this bottle but not enough to take away from the quality. In fact, I feel it complimented the wine as a palate cleansing component. This is very similar to 1er Chablis quality. Nice qpr that went very well with the linguine made with mussels and shrimp in a white wine, garlic, lemon zest, fresh basil and parsley sauce. 90-91

The fizzy/spritz wasn't to the degree of let's say, a carbonated soft drink. It was very subtle and actually dissipated over the course of the evening. I really enjoy good muscadet, from good producers, in good vintages. Perfect pairing with seafood. The mineral, saline, seashell nuances pair so well with seafood dishes. The wines are so clean and pure. I don't know how long these wines will age, but I've recently had one from the 2000 vintage (not sure of producer) that was still drinking nicely. I do have some Bruno Cormerais from 2004 that's in very good shape. Claude Branger seems to be my goto muscadet producer year in and year out. The 2005 was and still is good. I think you have to be selective, as say you would beaujolais, as there may not be many producers who produce long lived wines. Obviously, provenance plays a major role as well.
