Opened, and consumed over three days, kept in fridge between tastings. Have really enjoyed all that I've had from Cahors.
Nose, a mixture of dark and bright, plums, something peppery. Plenty of tannins, but nice acidity and lots of fruit. Slightly underripe plums, bit of sweet cherry, roast espresso, moderate wood on a nice finish that picked up some cranberry on the last tasting. I usually taste a bit of iron in Cahors wines, and this is no exception. Very nice QPR for $18. Good to drink, good to hold. 91pts.
