has this last night, notes from memory...

popped & consumed... attractive nose of melony dew fruits... on the palate the wine is full bodied & juicy with the creamy dew melon sensations continuing through to the finish, not terribly complex but delicious in that the fruit was sweet and not because of being overoaked... very yummy, but, i remember the 2005 Grand Cuvee being very similar and its a little cheaper...

15% alcohol. A pretty high-octane chard. Begins with fine aromas of orange blossoms, mango, and pineapple. On the palate, sweet lemon curd, canned pineapple, pear, and hazelnut on the finish. A judicious use of oak. Glossy texture. What hurts this wine, however, is the heat, which hits the upper palate and leaves a burn clear down to the throat. Fine on the attack, but clearly unbalanced. 85-86 points. (85 pts.)
