2004 Whirlwind Tour

This is a wonderful thread, full of great information. Just got around to reading it and made me long for an extended stay in the Valley. Can't happen soon enough.

What exactly is a "whirlwind" tour? How is that different from a regular tour? Is it extra special, or is it just supposed to sound that way?

He does a 360 turn after each wine he tastes.

If we had our choice of SVD's which one would your say was the best if we wanted to drink this wine in the next year or two?

I have only tryed the Second Chance and I found it excellent (after 12+ hours decanted) and I would rate it a 95 points on my scale.

I would go with Wykoff Vineyard for the next couple of year, by no means saying the wine won't have the lasting power, just the fact that it's lush, beautiful and ready to go.

Wykoff is the only valley floor fruit out of the group.
