This is an Eric Solomon selection, with which he's spun silver (Gold would be taking it too far) out of straw. Juicy raspberry/cranberry. Simple but nicely balanced and sufficiently concentrated. 40% Bobal with Carignan, Grenache, and Tempranillo. (Bobal? That's a new one on me.)

A solid B for $9.

For me is its an A+ for $9

It would be a B for $17.99

Bobal is found in other Spanish wines. One I'd like to recommend is one I can't spell and well...its like Meztasaze.

The way I grade, a B is a B is a B.

A B at 9 bucks is indeed a good QPR. A B at 20 bucks is disappointing.

Think "86 points." At 9 bucks, good. At $20, not so good.
