had off winelist at Hank's Steaks & Martini's @ Green Valley Ranch

popped & consumed... initially very tight & unrevealing, progressively showed dark cherry scents, mushroom & earthy notes... good weight & texture, showed some rich, black cassis & cherry fruits with barely a trace of dark maple influences, touched with tobacco & more loamy characteristics on the wrapped, slightly dry & lingering finish

very nice, and in retrospect this wine wasn't ready, probably couldve used a couple hour decant and initally seemed to have the stuffing to last, but the high alcohol & relatively low acidity (i barely noticed, if at all) has me thinking it was probably better a year ago and makes me questions whether it could go the distance.
