Popped and poured. Very dark red, almost black. Nose of cocoa and blackberry. Very tight and tannic with some dark fruit on the finish.

Re-visited the remaining 1/3 of the bottle next night. Cocoa and cassis aromas. Really opened up on the palate. Big ripe flavours of black currant, coffee and vanilla. Full-bodied, somewhat extracted and a little atypical for this wine, but still an excellent wine. The way this bottle changed over 24 hours leads me to believe that this will improve with some bottle age. 91 points for now.
