Very tight. Decanted for 2 hours to begin, but waited another 2 to drink most of the bottle. Distinctly caramel and cherries on the nose. Tasting of blackberries, cherries and.. maybe somewhat of plum. Lots of tannins but well balanced. Great spicy finish. I was impressed by this wine for the price. In my opinion, much better than last year's (which was a good buy also.) I'd give it 88-90 point range. What do you all think? I searched but couldn't find any tasting notes for this year.

I've really liked the last three vintages of this stuff, and find it much more enjoyable than that Marquis-Philips brand ethynol. Less money and no oak, just pure unadulterated Shiraz. Unfortunately, it's unavailable at retail hereabouts until December, due to its high demand as a restaurant by - the - glass pour. I shoulda bought a case. Air definitely helps these.
