This and the Felsina CC Rancia Riserva have become my favorite Chiantis, but in different styles. Whereas the Felsina seems a bit rounder and more about the fruit, the Riecine tends to have a bit more rustic, earthy character, with firmer tannins. Even in a warm vintage like '03, this wine had a great cherry profile, backed up by a ceratain wildness with earth and dark mushroom, and firm tannins clamping down on a long finish. This should last another 5 years easily. 93 for now, with lots of room to improve.
