Peppery onslaught with tasty fruit berry profile. Tannins are still somewhat harsh but will mellow with time. Decent finish. Wine consumed with octopus, followed by seafood risotto. This wine will require at least 2 years of cellaring to even out and achieve its potential. 86 now.
Consuming a wine such as this is part of the risk of restaurant dining in that we are often presented with wines that are not yet ready to reach their best.
