100% Sangiovese aged in barrique. Medium-ruby colour with garnet flecks. Aromas of cherry, plum, hing of spice, flowers, and a whiff of peach (likely from the barrique). Medium-bodied, fresh tasting, good acidity. Tannins present, and need to integrate a little more. Moderate finish, 30s, with red fruit. More air allows vanilla and peach to come out on the palate. Needs a couple years. 88+ points (06/01/2006).

Dark ruby/burgundy colour. Aromas of vanilla, black cherry, black plums, and black licorice. Full-bodied, great acidity, present tannins, with replays from nose. Moderate-length finish, ~35 with dark fruit. Really enjoyable. Cellaring has allowed the oak and tannin to integrate nicely and the wine shows much better than on release. Drink over the next 3-4 years. (91 pts.)
