Lush, forward, very merlot nose with plummy dark fruits and hints of bitter chocolate - more in a Beringer mold than say, a Pride. More full-bodied than the nose suggests with sweet merlot notes and hints of vanilla and red cherry. Fine grain abundant tannins and well balanced with just a hint of heat. A very good merlot; however, very Napa (a failure if the point was to build a Pomerol) and at the cost unfathomable. ***+
