What a bizarre, yet tasty wine! It includes 8 or 9 varietals, the largest components, in order are: Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese

I took no tasting notes but remember it was full-bodied and dominated by red fruit, with a decent finish. At CAD$18, I'm glad I got a few bottles.

How odd. L'Ecole also has a blend that used to be called Schoolhouse Red. They changed the name a year or two ago and now it's called Recess Red. It, too, is a great QPR.

I had it again, and took some notes this time. I tasted stewed plum, rare steak and orange peel, and wrote down "a chaotic cacophany of flavours".

I scored it 90 points, pretty good for a relative cheapy.
