I drank a Masi Costasera 2001 two weeks ago. Nice color, tannins fading but very velvety and good acidity. Fruit flavors fading to candied walnut and a touch of caramel. Not a lot going on. Some Amarone don;t have the legs for much past 10 years and I think the Costasera is one of them. I really liked this wine at about 6-7 yrs old. I am saving my Vaio Amarons and Mazzannos for next year.
