popped right from the bottle... extremely smooth & full, with lovely dark fruits, cassis, mocha, & some tobacco. a thick & creamy textured wine that trailed nicely on the finish with some added spice & trailing oak, fine balance & very drinkable now, not overly complex, but not simple by any means, a lovely wine... solid 92

Had this wine last week and was surprised.

It was a gift from a business client and I really thought I would not like it at all. Far too few Calif. cabs truly blow me away.

So, I took it to a blind New World Cab tasting last week and must admit, it was much more balanced and less oaky than I would have guessed.

An overall solid effort that I enjoyed. Not worth what my client paid IMO, but a nice wine.

I do like surprises Smile

the owner of a local wine store popped this open when i tried it because he hadn't had it either... i wouldn't have bought it, but i agree, i was pleasantly surprised. if i ever find it for a bargain $$$ somewhere i might plop down and buy one...
