2000 Chateau Montelena Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Seriously...thanks for the note. I have my first 750 scheduled for next year. If I still open it then it will definitely be in the later half of next year with about an hour or two decant time.

Perfect cork, 13.9% alcohol, Medium ruby, opens up pretty quick, drinking well, very enjoyable right now from a so-so vintage. 91 points

Perfect cork, what a nice surprise. Medium ruby, rich nose of organic compost and cedar, everything in balance and the tannins mostly resolved. Elegant with a nice length. Just an OK vintage but Montelena excelled and this wine will probably not improve but should have another good five years. 92 points
