  • 2000 Château Laville Haut-Brion Blanc - France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan (8/5/2008)
88% Semillon, 12% Sauvignon Blanc. Pale yellow hue in color with a distinct clarity. On the nose one detects aromas of smoke, pear along with hints of citrus and oak. The nose on this was very delicate and light. On the palate it quickly becomes a complex blend of pear and delicate citrus flavors, with a very enjoyable, balanced, level of minerality. This wine is very elegant, all about complexity and finesse. One of the most enjoyable whites I've had the pleasure of consuming. Simply beautiful. (95 pts.)

Methinks it's time to open another bottle...soon

It is indeed. I had to introduce VinT to what white wine taste like. Big Grin

I should have never disclosed my cellar was 95% red... Big Grin
