1998 Cosentino Winery Cabernet Sauvignon

1998 Cosentino Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley (9/25/2006)
Purchased on release for $21. Tasted much as one would expect for a '98 Napa cab in this price range. Earthy , herbal and astringent. Some dried fruit, like prunes, coming through. Improved slightly with a steak, but suffered greatly in comparison with a '98 Terrabianca Ceppate tasted next to it. Drink up. (83 pts.)
