1997 Burgess CS Vintage Selection

What a wonderful wine. Popped my only bottle tonight. Great flavors of chocolate and berries. Some spice, coffee or slight nutmeg. Good tannins indicate that this would have only gotten better had I had more restraint (tired of drinking my 99's). Long finish, very rich. Not quite extracted, but good concentration. I think I paid less than $30, wish I bought more!

CWG, thanks for the post! I, too, have 1 bottle of this wine. I got it as a gift and never saw a rating/post so I've been curious. Any idea what WS thought of it? I noticed the '99 scored a 91 and a SS label.
