Dark, chewy and brawny, with loam, charcoal, bittersweet covered raspberry and burnt earth flavors backed by prominent, and still rugged tannins. Needs lots of air - a hint of tree bark is stubborn but eventually blows off. Probably won't budge from this state for another 3-5 years at least. Definitely NOT a first date wine. Drink now through 2017. 88 points.

[Note: Wine not tasted blind, this is an unofficial review.]
