Enjoyed this with my wife this week on vacation to a beautiful private home on the Rogue River in Southern Oregon. 13% alcohol, and I was surprised to review the labeling and discover that Leroy produced a grand total of 584 bottles of this wine! Decanted and served with fresh caught Chinook Salmon after being open for two hours. Color was fading to a light rusty red at the rim. Big nose of black fruit, bacon and tobacco. Mouthcoating wine with a very long finish. Elegant juice and definitely still young with a fine backbone. I am no expert with the wines of Leroy but I have been fortunate to enjoy several and I would guess this might be prime at around age 15 and definitely be in a prime drinking range for many years after that. 94+ points. Purchased two at release and will certainly look forward to the last one.

Decanted for two hours, throwing a fair amount of sediment. Lightening at the rim, rich earthy nose of organic compost with some bacon. Mouthcoating fruit, elegant and a finish that lasts for 45+ seconds. An absolute delight to enjoy, a very special wine. 95 points. Interesting note on the bottle "This bottle must be kept at a constant temperature between 53F and 60F and at a hygrometry rate of 80-85% minimum. Only when those two conditions are met, can the wine reach its full potential".
