93 points: I stood this bottle up for 2 weeks and decanted in the bottle for appox. 2 hours. Light ruby color throughout. Some barnyard funk upon opening which blew off by the 1 hour mark. The nose has dried flowers, cherries, and meat. Palate is very well balanced with a long fleshy finish. It is so fleshy that I could taste the wine for over 90 sec after the last sip. excellent.

Yeah, I'm now a firm believer that old wines show better if they have been stood up for few days/weeks to let the sediment settle.

A 1991 vintage wine is not old! Razz
