1990 Olga Raffault Chinon Les Picasses - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Chinon (1/21/2009)
Tasted January 21, 2009 at an offline.
Opened and served immediately. Garnet color in the glass with just a slight brownish twinge towards the edges, fairly clear hue throughout. Nose of licorice, leather, sandlewood and a bit of dust. Flavors of black berries, a bit of cherries and an unusual component I'll describe as "menthol". Light acidity, fully integrated tannins, medium body. Drink now. (91 pts.)
