I don't have much experience with Bordeaux and especially older Bordeaux.

Opened and poured a small taste, then left the bottle sitting in the cellar. Deep purple w/ slight orange color around the edges. Nose of cassis, licorice, sweet fruit(I said apple, wife said pear), and smoke. All follows through with a short to medium finish.

Poured with dinner about 30-45 minutes later. Nose of Cassis, earth, leather, smoke, and hints of dark fruits. The wine has gained noticable weight and has an incredibly long lush finish. Also noted that it look deeper in color.

Poured our second glass about 1 hour after the 1st. Similiar profile, but some acidity/tartness to the finish.

A very nice wine and good intro to older Bordeaux.
