1989 Chateau Suduiraut Sauternes Creme de Tête -- (from 375 ml) rich burnished copper colour, almost amber; big sherry and honey nose, with the sherry element slowly blowing off over 4 hours; orange marmalade, lime, pear flavours, with some Pedro Ximenez tones, very silky, no sign of 14.5% alc; remarkably long finish. Around 92-93 pts. It doesn't take long to get used to the sherry nose of this wine, though it's atypical in my Sauternes experience; some might not like it as much as we did.
