Transluscent cranberry in color, fat, widespaced, clear legs. Red cherry, hint of black olive, and vanilla on the nose. Tart red cherry on the barely medium palate, showing a little vegetal. Fairly simple and definately thin. Just barely a medium finish. 3 out of 3 prefer the Viader and 3 out of 3 prefer '99 CC Grand Estates to either. I will be a bit of wait for the '01. 86 points. These two '00s aren't bad, they just have no stuffin'.

Stealthman,

I was at Justin yesterday and tasted their current offerings.

As an indication of my thoughts on them, here were my Paso purchases: a couple bottles of Justin Malbec (not tasted, but what the heck ... it's a small production and sort of unique) and 3 bottles of Turley '00 Old Vine Zin from the Pezzenti tasting room.
