Lumiere is brilliant. The service is gracious and the food is yummy. A couple points I really liked:
We were late being seated, and they comped us at the bar; given that they were pouring Louis Roederer as the house champagne, being comped was sweeeet.
They were absolutely flexible about my wifes wheat allergy. The resulting tasting menu, vegetarian, wheat free, was possibly better than my chefs choice tasting menu.
The space is good, not remarkable, but private enough for an unshouted conversation.
the wine list is nice, good in Burgundies, and Rhones. A tad expensive, but it is Canada. We chose a Chateauneuf that ended up being less than 100 percent markup, which is good.
Worth a return visit. Especially with friends.
