Parker is a has-been. So is his palate, and quite obviously so is his brain. He is like the George Lucas of winery advocacy...started off pretty good a few decades ago and then went off the rails and stayed their. Not only is his rant full of strawmen, but maybe that is how one could ultimately look upon his career. When one invents a standard that must itself be subjective and then uses that invention as the basis for justifying or criticizing objective standards, how else could Parker be characterized? Maybe not bang on, but seems pretty close to me. What was that song that the strawman sang in The Wizard of Oz? Maybe that should be his mantra.
