Interesting. I've never had Japanese whiskey. What are your thoughts? Is it like scotch, or more like American whiskeys?
It's very much like scotch single malt Whisky, (at least Yoichi and Miygakyo)
Obviously there's a deep relationship between Japan and Scotland, some renowned scotch distilleries have Japanese owners nowadays.
The relationship is mutual, look at the pagoda design, common to many distilleries in scotland (eg.: Strathisla)
Japanese Whiskys have a permanent and prominent place in my single-malt collection, serious stuff.
