There are a few new Krispy Kremes around Toronto (one on Harbord West of Spadina that immediately comes to mind) and they're apparently doing well. The problem with the first run of stores I think was that many of the locations did not make the donuts on site (i.e. no hot donuts), so they were doomed to fail from the start IMO. 5 Guys just isn't very good, but the massive portions may appeal to some people, so it may not suffer the same fate as KK, but it wouldn't surprise me if it did.
