It is not just the Midwest. About 1/4 of my college friends (all East Coast) consider themselves vegetarians but all of them eat fish and seafood (except for one Vegan -- but he is downright mental).

Frankly, if I didn't like the taste of red meat so much, I would deffinitely go this route... But I do, so I don't
