You still digest it, but only to a certain degree. We all know how carrots, corn and peanuts exit. I am convinced the gas is from a bacterial imbalance or lack of bacteria that aid in digestion.

When I get the will power to go vegetarian for a month or two I will report back. I cannot really argue my hypothesis without testing it. It would be unethical. I am convinced the digestive system, especially the liver and bacteria found in the tract are extremely important to your weight.
